“Along the Route of Adventure”
Price: $95
Giclee on canvas print.
Image size: 9 x 14 inches

In 1935 the S. C. Johnson & Son company made a major aerial expedition to Brazil in a Sikorsky S-38 to search for the Carnauba palm tree, the source of the world’s hardest natural wax. In 1998 the company re-enacted the Carnauba Expedition by flying an exact replica of the original Sikorsky S-38 aircraft from Racine, Wisconsin to Fortaleza, Brazil.

In this painting, the replica S-38 is shown flying along the western shoreline of the Caribbean island of Tobago.
