The Beechcraft model 18 was one of the most popular aircraft ever built. It was used extensively by the military, corporations and commuter airlines. From 1937 to 1969, a total of 8,980 model 18s were manufactured. In this scene, we see a Beechcraft E-18S carrying the night air mail coming in for a landing, circa 1972.
